Yakan Pair of Handmade Dolls
Growing up, we wish we had more toys that reflected our diverse ethnic heritage. But it's not too late for the next generation...
These dolls are handcrafted by one of the elders in the Yakan Village of Zamboanga using scraps (retaso) of cloth. They reflect the traditional Yakan male and female costume.
We have limited quantities available and each one is a unique set - none exactly identical. When you order one, you will get a random surprise, but rest assured that the artisan selected colors and patterns that she felt belonged together based on decades of craft-making & design mastery.
