It was of no surprise to us when our relationship with our partner brands opened to new possibilities. From hosting a community marketplace in San Juan, La Union, our friends from Filiology offered a new space to us to expand our community reach, this time in Metro Manila!
To us, nothing is more exciting than sharing our dreams and passions with like-minded people. It’s finding a tribe that uplifts and the more we find these people, the more we know that we can accomplish greater things. Hence, our partnership with Casa Pura unfolded into stories of hope, empowerment, and connection.
We started our first Trunk Show at Casa Pura last December 8. Our intention was not only to bring together our brands in Metro Manila, the way we do it in our humble little surf town but also for us to begin a culture of collaboration. Along with our Trunk Show, Casa Pura organized a DIY Maker’s Meet-up at their cafe where 45-minute workshops were offered. It was an unexpected turn-out for a 6-hour gathering!
While the lobby was styled to showcase the products from our partner brands, the cafe was buzzing with families and their loved ones getting their hands creative. From familiar faces to strangers, everyone shared a smile and a story. Our experience was heightened with the generous energy of Casa Pura. And this is not a surprise as once Casa Pura before becoming a full-fledged hotel used to house missionaries.
As a way to give back, our team and partner brands agreed to donate 5% of our sales from our intimate trunk shows to Brother’s of Mercy of St. John of God, Casa Pura’s chosen charity. This non-profit organization based in Bocaue, Bulacan is dedicated to helping abandoned men and women with mental illness. We had our first visit this January and once again, we are reminded of the goodness of people and this inspires us to want to do more.
Every month, we will be holding themed Trunk Shows and other activities at Casa Pura! Be part of our growing community. Drop by and say hello. Let’s have a cup of coffee and share our dreams and purpose with each other.

Brothers of Mercy of St. John of God are consecrated to God in the service of the poor-sick, the infirm in mind and body, -homeless and abandoned- to those in prisons, to the deaf. They are always in need of volunteers as well as financial aid to continue the operations of their hospice.
